Reading has many benefits that continue to enhance our lives. Their lives are bettered in some the following ways: mentally, academically, spiritually and socially. Also, if we develop a habit reading will we become more confident and self assured in abilities to comprehend and understand all types of information.
So this is the purpose of this group that you can understand the importance of having a reading room at Instituto Pedagógico de Maturín. It is not just to go to the reading room or the library because it is an obligation or a homework. So I inivite you to discover the wonderful world of reading!!!
Besides, this is a good cause because it is true that many graduates of the major in English cannot read and/or write, they cannot even analyze. So, try reading because it helps you to develop those skills.
Reading any language plays an important role in different societies around the world; it marks a significant human civilization and, of course permeates marks on those who use it. S. Mendoza (2001). In this sense, glimpse the world that surrounds the user, leading to an accumulation of experiences, without feelings and ideas.
The establishment and operation of the reading rooms, libraries, among other universities or other education´s centre plays an important role in the acquisition of knowledge, as these allow the personal and social development of the individual reader and facilitates access to a variety of educational materials given to expand, and improve the knowledge acquired in the classroom. It is also helpful especially for those students or beneficiaries who do not have sufficient resources to purchase books on their own.
The beneficiaries from this research are the English students of the UPEL, Maturin and some other specialties that sometime have the need to review some literature that will hold the reading room.
This room may also be helpful to the educational authorities of UPEL Maturin, and with this progress has been made a big step, as it is the theoretical part of “toso” research project.
The creation of this new space in the specialty of English, has made it possible for many people in that specialty will benefit today with this space, as this is used to read and to study the activities that are assigned, it has also been helpful to those teachers who did not have a performing space for clubs which students can attend and participate. As it has been very useful for those teachers of the specialty at the time you need a space for classes and other activities (Test, Speeches, debates, etc.).
G. Kramer (1966) states: "The only reason for existence of libraries or reading rooms is to help people to progress and that students can improve their grades; traders can make more money, preachers write sermons in order to keep parishioners awake; journalists can distinguish Marquis Childs Marquis James and Don Marquis of both.”
